1:42 OMG that is racing right there. No clips, power off the downside of the step up on dirt and shale. That Robinson rider was unlucky to not get by there too. These were the best years for racing without doubt!!!

My good friend raced against him several times in the mid to late 80s At this point in time i remember watching this entire race with my uncle on a local affiliate channel in NYc on new years eve 1990 .. two years prior i just stopped racing and my uncle had no clue of what BMX Racing was .. Lol 😆..

It's funny and sad at the same time. My mom had cancer and she'd put her wig on backwards and but lipstick on her eyelids, stuff my underwear in cups and put them in the cupboards, fold her clothes and put them in the fridge, she'd randomly throw shit at the wall, I could go on for a long time. It's bittersweet.

I can't believe the announcer saying this is when they start developing skills! WHAT!! Anthony Reyes Jason Palmer Alexis Vergara these dudes shred!! I even remember Shay "Commando" pierce at age 9 ripping it up and hitting doubles sum 17 year olds couldn't clear.

Man, Reyes had a terrible start and still snuck by in the 1st turn for the win! Great move on the inside.
